BURRILLVILLE — Aaron Keegan scored with just over two minutes remaining as Westerly High handed Burrillville its first loss of the season, 9-8, in a Division III boys lacrosse game Wednesday.

Keegan's goal with 2:12 left came off an assist from Ben Morrone and the Bulldogs a man up due to a Broncos penalty.

Burrillville (13-1, 12-1 Division III) had taken an 8-6 led with 8:20 left in the contest. But Westerly scored the final three goals for the win.

Brandon Chretien and Morrone scored during that stretch, and Mark Buckley had a pair of assists.

Joe Fusaro, Rhys Johnstone and Chretien finished with two goals each. Buckley finished with five assists and also scored a goal. Morrone also had a goal, and Keegan and Chretien contributed assists.

Westerly moved to 13-2, 12-2. Westerly next travels to Stonington on Friday for a 7 p.m. nonleague game.
