STONINGTON — Sean Peglow had six goals and one assist and the Stonington High boys lacrosse team bounced back from a loss with a 14-2 victory over Ledyard/Griswold on Tuesday in an ECC Division II game.

"We definitely needed that after Saturday," Bears coach Nick Warhola said.

Stonington lost to St. Bernard/Wheeler on Saturday, 8-2.

"One of the things we focus on is execution," Warhola added, "and that's something we didn't do on Saturday. We also got a couple guys back [from illness and injury], and that's good news for us. Pretty soon we'll be back to full strength."

Lucian Kronholm added two goals and two assists for the Bears (4-2, 2-2 Division II). Joe Hayes scored twice, Aaron Lahah and Christian Hudson each had a goal and an assist, Jake Flynn and Connor Naslund had one goal apiece, and Aidan Davies and David McCarthy each chipped in an assist.

Stonington finished with a 22-11 shots advantage against Ledyard/Griswold (4-4, 1-2). Goalie Tyler Flynn made nine saves.

The Bears next host Chariho on Friday at 7 p.m.
