PROVIDENCE — Westerly High's Sebastian Reisch finished first in the 1,000 at the junior varsity boys indoor track state championships Wednesday night.

Reisch covered the distance at the Providence Career & Technical Academy in 2:26.21.

Jake Serra was fifth in the 1,500 (4:29.69).

Luke Marley, Brandon Tallardy, Adrian Medina and Tanner Kelly combined for second in the 4x400 (3:45.99).

Tallardy, Joe Gervasini, Ryan Scanapieco and Luke Marley placed sixth in the 4x200 (1:42.42).

Westerly finished eighth in the team standings with 21 points. La Salle was first with 68.

Westerly's varsity next competes in the state championships Saturday at PCTA at 11 a.m.
