PROVIDENCE — Westerly High's Nick Turo finished first in one race and third in another during a Southern Division boys indoor track meet at the Providence Career & Technical Academy on Monday night.

Turo won the 1,500 (4:30.10) and was third in the 1,000 (2:52.93).

Westerly (2-5) lost to South Kingstown, 70-37, and Portsmouth, 55-40.

Joe Fusaro, Aiden Faubert, Adrian Medina and Aaron Tallardy finished first in the 4x200 relay (1:42.62).

Sebastian Reisch was second in the 3,000 (9:46.02), as was Tallardy in the 600 (1:31.77).

Jackson Shaffer finished second in the shot put (36-6), and Phil Chandy (34-5.25) was third.

Brandon Chretien was third in the long jump (18-2.5).

Sam Lutzel, Fusaro, Medina and Tallardy placed second in the 4x400 (3:52.6).

Westerly next competes in the Yale Invitational on Friday.
