NEW YORK — Chariho High's Sullivan Cummins placed fifth in the Varsity B race at the Manhattan College Invitational boys cross country race at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday.

Cummins finished the 2.5-mile course in 13:17. Chariho was third in its race with 179 points.

Other scorers for Chariho were C.J. Elwell (34th, 14:03), Simon Manlove (37th, 14:07), Dan Nimiroski (42nd, 14:12) and Sam Steere (61st, 14:26).

Chariho next competes in the Class B championships on Oct. 26 at Ponaganset High.
