NORTH STONINGTON — Ian Spracklin scored 28 points, Bowen Baker had 17 and Wheeler High beat Tourtellotte, 67-41, in an ECC Division IV boys basketball game Thursday night.

Spracklin was 11 of 15 from the free-throw line. He also had seven rebounds and six assists. Baker finished with five assists.

"We got off to a fast start, 12-3, but they were able to creep back in it. Later we were able to pressure them and get some turnovers," Wheeler coach Neal Cobleigh said.

Wheeler (9-6, 3-3 ECC Division II) had an eight-point lead, 31-23, at the half. The Lions outscored the Tigers, 36-18, in the second half.

"It was one of out better halves of the season," Cobleigh said.

Nick Larkin and Scott Pion scored 10 points each.

Devin Dalpe was the top scorer for Tourtellotte (1-16, 0-6) with 15 points.

Wheeler next travels to Putnam on Saturday for a 3 p.m. game.
