LEBANON, Conn. — Bowen Baker had 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in a losing effort for Wheeler High, which fell to Lyman Memorial, 73-46, in an ECC Division IV boys basketball game Monday.

The Bulldogs (9-4, 5-0 Division IV) led 35-21 at halftime.

"They shoot the ball very well, though we got our hands up every time," said Wheeler coach Neal Cobleigh, who added that Lyman is "clearly" the best team in Division IV.

"The story of the game was turnovers. We had 25 turnovers easy. We didn't pass the ball very well at all, and that hurt us big time. You can't give a good team more possessions."

Ian Spracklin added nine points and four rebounds for the Lions (3-10, 0-5).

Wheeler next plays at Tourtellotte on Friday at 7 p.m.
