STONINGTON — Marquis Jackson made four 3-pointers and scored 25 points as Stonington High downed Griswold, 59-44, in an ECC Division III game Tuesday night.

Jackson also finished with nine rebounds and four steals.

"We couldn't make anything in the first quarter so we let him go a little bit, ran a few sets for him and got him some open looks," Stonington coach John Luzzi said. "He had a great game across the board."

Luzzi said Griswold (0-1, 0-1 ECC Division III) like to shoot 3-pointers.

"Our goal defensively was to limit their opportunities to drive and kick," Luzzi said. "They like to move the ball. We wanted for force them into quick shots."

Zach Scott hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 14 points. R.J. Parrilla scored eight and contributed five assists. Jacob Geary had 12 rebounds.

Stonington (2-0, 1-0 ECC Division III) hosts Prout on Saturday at 2 p.m. in a nonleague game.
