EAST HADDAM, Conn. — Wheeler High lost to Hale-Ray, 10-0, in a nonleague baseball game Sunday.

The game ended in the top of the fifth due to the mercy rule.

Wheeler's Bowen Baker had two hits. Hale-Ray improved to 10-10.

Wheeler (4-13) plays a doubleheader at Washington Park in Groton Monday. The Lions face Parish Hill at 4 p.m. and Putnam at 6 p.m.
