WOONSOCKET — Westerly High managed just two hits and lost to Woonsocket, 4-2, in its Division II regular-season finale Wednesday.

Jackson Shaffer had both of Westerly's hits and drove in a run.

Starter Phil Pedersen pitched all six innings and took the loss. He struck out seven.

Woonsocket is 9-9, 9-9 Division II. Westerly (13-7, 12-6) will likely be the third seed in the Division II tournament next week and host a game on Wednesday, according to coach Ron Sposato.

Westerly's opponent has not been finalized.
