GROTON — St. Bernard scored six runs over the first two innings and topped Wheeler High, 11-4, in an ECC out-of-division baseball game at Washington Park on Monday.

Aidan Cameron finished with two hits, including a double, and two RBIs for Wheeler (3-7). Krishtion Pasante was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Matt Pierce and Bower Baker also had two hits apiece.

Starter Eric Henderson pitched the first five innings and took the loss. He struck out two.

The Saints improved to 6-7. The Lions next travel to Windham Tech on Tuesday for a 2:45 p.m. game.
