GROTON — Bowen Baker hit an inside-the-park homer and three Wheeler High players drove in three runs each as the Lions topped Parish Hill, 15-5, in a nonleague baseball game Monday.

Baker (2 for 2, four runs scored) hit the solo home run in the second inning. The game ended after five innings by the mercy rule.

Krishtion Pasante had a three-run single in the fourth inning, and Connor Melinosky had one in the fifth. Matt Pierce added a two-run single in the first and finished with three RBIs.

Aidan Cameron was 2 for 3 with three runs scored.

Lukas Jones pitched all five innings and earned the win. He struck out five.

Parish Hill dropped to 10-11. Wheeler (5-13) next faces Grasso Tech at the Pawcatuck Little League complex on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
