STONINGTON — Lyman Memorial scored nine unearned runs and defeated Stonington High, 11-3, in an ECC Division III baseball game Saturday morning.

Lyman (13-3, 6-1 ECC Division III) led 3-2 before scoring eight runs in the fifth. Stonington (7-10, 2-4) committed five errors in the game.

Stonington's Creighton Wesson drove in a run, and Bob Dimock finished 2 for 4.

Wesson pitched the first five innings and allowed 11 runs, two earned. Wesson gave up just four hits and struck out a pair in taking the loss.

Stonington next hosts Montville on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
