STONINGTON — Bowen Baker hit two home runs and doubled as Wheeler High defeated Grasso Tech, 13-2, in an nonleague baseball game Wednesday at the Pawcatuck Little League complex.

Baker hit a two-run homer in the first and a solo shot in the third. Baker also doubled and finished 4 for 4 with four runs scored.

Lukas Jones hit a solo homer in the sixth and finished 2 for 4. Matt Pierce drove in four runs and was 3 for 4, and Cameron Reyes also contributed two hits to Wheeler's 15-hit attack.

Wheeler (6-13) scored seven runs in the sixth inning to end the game.

Justin Veal pitched all six innings and struck out five to earn the win. Grasso Tech dropped to 6-10.

Wheeler next plays Putnam at Washington Park in Groton on Thursday at 4 p.m.
