PROVIDENCE — Three Chariho High wrestlers advanced to the quarterfinals of the New England tournament Friday night at the Providence Career & Technical Academy.

Ben Dougherty (170), Dominic Bonanno (152) and Kyle Merritt (138) each won a bout on Friday.

Nate Marchione went 2-1 at 195, while Cam Anderson was 1-1 at 182. They are still both wrestling in the consolation round.

Chariho is fourth in the team standings with 24 points. Danbury (Conn.) is first with 29 and Bishop Hendricken second with 27.

Wrestling resumes Saturday at 10 a.m.
