GRISWOLD — Levi Barrington and Luke Mead won their respective weight classes and Chariho High finished third at the Griswold JV Wrestling Tournament on Monday.

Barrington went 4-0 in the heavyweight division. He defeated Yaya Medina of New London in the finals, 4-2.

At 188 pounds, Mead finished 4-0 and beat teammate Lance Delbonis, 6-4, in the finals.

Also for Chariho, Clark Richmond defeated teammate Gary Gardiner in the third-place match at 212 pounds.

New London won the team title with 159 points. Windham Tech (123) was next followed by Chariho (119).

The Chariho varsity next wrestles on Wednesday at Ponaganset at 5 p.m.
