WOOD RIVER JCT. — Chloe Joslin drove in Haylie Wellman with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as Chariho High beat North Providence, 4-3, in a Division I softball game Tuesday.

Wellman had singled to open the inning and moved to second on a sacrifice by Kate Powers. Joslin (3 for 3) followed with a single to right-center field to end the game.

Joslin finished with two RBIs. Powers also drove in a pair of runs.

Caitlin O'Leary finished 3 for 4 with two runs scored.

Powers pitched all seven innings to earn the win. She struck out five.

North Providence dropped to 1-2, 1-2 Division I.

Chariho (2-1, 2-1), next travels to Barrington on Thursday for a 4:15 p.m. game.
