WOOD RIVER JCT. — Anna LaCroix won two races, but the Chariho High girls track team lost twice in its Southern Division opener on Monday.

LaCroix topped the field in the 1,500 (5:09.7) and the 800 (2:39.3).

Abby Cole won the 3,000 (11:00.8).

North Kingstown beat Chariho, 120-28, and the Chargers lost to East Greenwich, 65-61.

Alison Klein was second in the triple jump (29-3) and third in the 100 hurdles (18.7).

Tia Sardelli placed second in the 400 (64.9), as did Margaret Weeden in the high jump (4-6).

Chariho is off until April 9, when it travels to Westerly for a 4 p.m. meet. Narragansett and Prout will also compete.
