PROVIDENCE — Abby Cole and Elizabeth LaCroix finished first in two events as Chariho High opened the Dwyer Division indoor girls track season with a pair of wins Tuesday night at the Providence Career & Technical Academy.

Cole was first in the 1,500 (5:10.24) and the 1,000 (3:37.76), while LaCroix placed first in the 600 (2:02.78) and the 3,000 (11:42.42).

Chariho beat Central, 58-45, and Central Falls, 60-41.

Alison Klein finished first in the 55 hurdles (10.65) and second in the shot put (22-4.25).

Meghan Riley won the long jump (11-4.75). Caitlyn Allensen was third in the 1,500 (5:57.62) and the 1,000 (3:55.86).

Second-place finishers were Anna LaCroix (1,000, 3:37.81); Michaela Brady (long jump, 10-8.5); Julia Fortune (1,500, 5:48.65); and Paige Grissom (3,000, 12:58.62).

Emily Stevens placed third in the 3,000 (13:43.23).

Chariho competes in a league meet at PCTA on Dec. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
