WOOD RIVER JCT. — Ally Buckley overcame a first-set loss and helped Chariho High to a 4-3 Division II girls tennis win against Cranston East on Monday.

Buckley lost the first set 2-6, but came back to win the next two 6-4, 6-3.

The match had started on Sept. 26, but was halted about halfway through by rain on that day.

Megan Dickerman prevailed at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-3. Dickerman is 8-0 this season.

Molly Newman and Sabrina Rubenstein were 6-2, 6-4 winners at No. 2 doubles.

Sarah Dzwil and Cosette Salaun combined for a 6-1, 6-1 victory at third doubles.

Chariho, which has won three straight and four of its last five matches, moved to 5-4, 5-4 Division II. Cranston East is now 2-6, 2-6.

Chariho next travels to Narragansett on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
