PROVIDENCE — Chariho High took the top three spots in two distance races and captured the Dwyer Division girls indoor track championship Tuesday night at the Providence Career & Technical Academy.
Abby Cole finished first in the 1,500 (5:20.95) and the 1,000 (3:21.74).
Elizabeth LaCroix was second in the 1,500 (5:29.88) and third in the 1,000 (3:30.81). Her younger sister, Anna LaCroix, finished second in the 1,000 (3:28.51) and third in the 1,500 (5:30.83).
Chariho finished with 89 points. Central was second (75) and Cranston East third (71) among the 10 teams that scored.
Tia Sardelli was first in the 600 (1:47.56), and Cole placed third (1:53.29).
Julia Fortune placed second in the 3,000 (11:30.78), Caitlyan Allensen was fourth (12:54.06), and Paige Grissom finished fifth (12:55.82).
Julianne Wood took fifth in the high jump (4-6).
Chariho placed second in the 4x800 (11:38.54) and sixth in the 4x400 (5:12.24). The names of the runners on the two relays were unavailable.
Chariho is off until Feb. 2 when it competes in the Medium class meet at PCTA at 5:30 p.m.
