PROVIDENCE — Abby Cole and Elizabeth LaCroix finished 2-3 in the 3,000 to highlight Chariho High's performance at the Medium Class girls indoor track championships Saturday at the Providence Career and Technical Academy.

Cole finished in 10:42.21 and LaCroix in 11:07 as the Chargers placed eighth as a team with 25 points.

Barrington won the title with 118; Portsmouth was second (67).

Cole and LaCroix also had fourth-place finishes — Cole in the 1,000 (3:19.40) and LaCroix in the 1,500 (5:14.00). LaCroix finished .002 seconds ahead of Bay View's Emma Shaw in the 1,500.

Also scoring for Chariho were Julia Fortune, who was sixth in the 3,000 (11:17.70), and the 4x800 relay team of Paige Grissom, Anna Golas, Emily Stevens and Rebekah, which was fifth (11:59.26).

Chariho next competes in the Elite Performance meet on Saturday at PCTA.
