NORTH SCITUATE — Chariho High's Kate Powers scored a career-high 32 points, but the Chargers lost to Scituate, 67-47, in a Division II girls basketball game Monday night.
Scituate (13-3, 11-2 Division II) led by 16, 40-24, at the half. The Spartans have won nine of their last 10.
"They are very aggressive and they get the ball up and down the court very fast," Chariho coach Tom Gilligan said. "They are a very good team. We had too many turnovers and we struggled on the offensive end."
Powers had 14 field goals and was 4 of 7 at the line. She also finished with 15 rebounds. Her previous career-high was 26 points against Prout last season.
