WOOD RIVER JCT. — Chariho High is making an early habit of long-lasting matches.

The Chargers went five sets again on Thursday, but this time they won, 3-2, over Bishop Hendricken in a Division I boys volleyball match.

The scores were 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 21-25 and 15-9.

Chariho dropped a five-setter in its season opener, Monday at La Salle.

Thursday, Nathaniel Felicetti finished with 12 kills for the Chargers (1-1, 1-1 Division I). Riley Hughes had 18 digs, and Tom Hingerty had 29 assists.

Coach Michelle Cunningham-Joost said the difference in the fifth set was "not making unforced errors. Putting the ball away and taking care of the ball."

Chariho next plays at Mount St. Charles on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
