COVENTRY — Chariho High pushed unbeaten Coventry to five sets, but lost to the Oakers, 3-2, in a Division I boys volleyball match on Wednesday.

Coventry won by set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 15-25, 20-25 and 15-7.

Chariho (3-3, 3-3 Division I) is the first team to take a set from Coventry (6-0, 6-0 Division I) this season.

Lawson Laurent finished with 14 kills for Chariho. Nathaniel Felicetti and Riley Hughes had nine kills each. Hughes also contributed 12 digs.

Chariho next travels to South Kingstown on Tuesday for a 6:30 p.m. match.
