WOOD RIVER JCT. — Finn Weeden won the 3,000 and Perry Sabourin scored in three events as the Chariho High boys track team split its Southern Division opener Monday.

Chariho defeated East Greenwich, 96-39, but lost to North Kingstown, 122-31.

Weeden finished with a time of 9:39.2 in the 3,000.

Sabourin was second in the long jump (17-2), triple jump (34-7) and third in the high jump (5-2).

Third-place finishers were Matt Dickerman, 400 (56.5), Tim Champlin, 1,500 (4:30.7), Mason Paine, discus (87-9), Devin Anderson, javelin (102-1), and Joe Golas, 800 (2:10.6).

Chariho's 4x400 relay team of Dickerman, Mike Sheehan, Golas and John Tripodi placed first in 4:01.

The 4x100 team of Coval Wild, Nate Berry, John Haxton and Sabourin placed third (49.6).
