PROVIDENCE — Tim Champlin won two races as the Chariho High boys indoor track team split a Southern Division meet Tuesday at the Providence Career & Technical Academy.

Champlin was first in the 3,000 (9:31.07) and the 600 (1:28.51). Joe Golas was first in the 1,500 (4:38.94).

Chariho (2-2) beat Coventry, 62-43, but lost to South Kingstown, 73-36.

Matthew Brady took second in the weight throw (43-6).

Josh Benros finished third in the 300 (40.96) and the long jump (17-6). C.J. Elwell was third in the 1,000 (2:53.25).

Matt Dickerman, Champlin, Golas and Mike Sheehan finished first in the 4x400 relay (3:54.48).

Chariho next competes in the Rhode Island Track Coaches Association Invitational Saturday at PCTA at noon.
