WOOD RIVER JCT. — Dylan Jessop scored a pair of goals as Chariho High beat Burrillville, 2-1, in a Division II boys soccer game Tuesday.

Jessop scored the game-winner with about 18 minutes left in regulation. Alex Yaccord had the assist.

"It was a good give-and-go through the corner," Chariho coach Les Ahern said. "Alex fed him and he had a great hit inside the 18."

Corey Rainey had the assist on Jessop's other goal, which came in the first half. The game was tied at the half, 1-1.

Nate Berry and Rainey played well in the midfield, Ahern said. Nate Allen had a good game on the backline as Chariho played just three defenders.

Chariho (5-6-1, 5-4-1 Division II) has won four of its last five matches. Burrillville dropped to 3-8-1, 3-8-1.

Chariho next hosts Mt. Hope on Thursday at 4 p.m.
