STONINGTON — Stonington High scored 10 goals in the second half and surged past Chariho High, 13-7, in a nonleague boys lacrosse game Saturday morning.

Chariho (3-13) led 4-3 at the half. Stonington (11-5) outscored the Chargers, 10-3, after intermission.

Sean Peglow scored six times for Stonington and assisted on two goals. Lucian Kronholm finished with three goals and an assist, and Christian Hudson scored twice.

Aaron Lahah and Marco Tedeschi each scored a goal, and David McCarthy had an assist.

Stonington's Tyler Flynn finished with 14 saves. The Bears won 30 of 50 groundsballs, but only eight of 21 faceoffs.

A coin flip with St. Bernard/Wheeler on Sunday will determine which team qualifies for the ECC tournament.
