PROVIDENCE — Chariho High's Dan Nimiroski won the 3,000 at the boys indoor track junior varsity state championships Wednesday night.

Nimiroski turned in a time of 9:25.27 at the Providence Career & Technical Academy.

Teammate C.J. Elwell was second in 9:27.32. Finn Weeden placed second in the 1,500 (4:26.62).

Chariho was sixth in the team standings with 26 points. La Salle was first with 68.

Chariho's varsity next competes at the state championship meet on Saturday at PCTA at 11 a.m.
