CRANSTON — Sean Sposato pitched a four-hitter and struck out nine as Chariho High won its fourth straight Division I baseball game, 3-2 over Cranston West on Tuesday.

Sposato is 1-2 with an ERA of 1.57. He has 45 strikeouts in 26⅔ innings.

Mark Wightman (2 for 2) had a two-out RBI single in the second inning.

Chariho scored a pair in the third, including a sacrifice fly by Liam Flynn to score Cam Anderson, who had doubled earlier in the inning.

Cranston West dropped to 7-6, 7-6 Division I. Chariho (6-6, 5-5) next hosts Cranston West on Thursday at 4 p.m.
