SMITHFIELD — Chariho High couldn't get its bats going in a 6-2 Division I baseball loss to Smithfield on Thursday.

Sentinels starter Zach Collins held the Chargers to just three hits in his six innings. He allowed three runs, two earned, with four strikeouts and two walks.

Ben Harrison doubled and scored for Chariho (1-4, 0-4 Division I). Sean Sposato had an RBI single.

Harrison also pitched. He allowed six runs (five earned) on six hits and three walks, with two strikeouts.

Smithfield improved to 3-1, 3-1.

Chariho next plays at Moses Brown on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
