SOUTH KINGSTOWN — South Kingstown ended Chariho High's season in the preliminary round of the Division I baseball tournament Wednesday, defeating the Chargers 10-0.

Chariho finished with three hits in the game, while SK, the defending Division I state champion, had 12. The game ended after five innings via the mercy rule.

Ben Harrison pitched the first two innings and took the loss.

Chariho, the seventh seed from Division I-A, finished the season 8-13. Chariho won the Division II title last season, but moved up to Division I this year.

South Kingstown, the No. 2 seed from Division I-B, moved to 16-4. The Rebels hosts Cranston West on Friday in the quarterfinals.
