Kudos to Rep. Tanzi for her forward-looking view on transportation in our state. Bridges and roads need to be kept up for all drivers, and money should be allocated to make them safer for years to come. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is a common but unacceptable practice in Rhode Island.

Walking and bicycling need to be encouraged by creating spaces that welcome people to get exercise and enjoy natural areas safely. Let’s give Peter a capital P in his two-footed and two-wheeled name and find the funding for automotive Paul. Representatives, think of the Rhode Island you will pass on to your grandchildren.
