With the weather having been so cold and rainy lately, it’s perfect weather for soup. The senior center will be holding a Soup Night on Friday, May 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. with four types of soup: pizza, potato, French onion, and Italian wedding. Bread and crackers, coffee, tea, and dessert will also be served. Tickets are $10 if bought in advance and $15 at the door. Children’s tickets are $5. Why not come, join your friends, and enjoy sampling some delicious soup as prepared by George Routhier.

“99” Restaurant on Airport Road will be sponsoring a “Dining to Donate” fundraiser on Thursday, May 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. If you present the flyer, which is available in the center newsletter or at the center office counter, the senior center will receive 15 percent of your guest check before tax and gratuity is added. Coupons must be used in order for the center to receive the donation. See you there!

For those who are looking for an AARP Safe Drive class, Elaine Squadrito will be holding a class at the senior center on Friday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a break at noon. The cost of the class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-AARP members. To register for the class, stop by the senior center office to pick up a registration form.
