Westerly Expo links young minds, hands, and concepts

WESTERLY — Westerly Public Schools is holding a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Expo Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Ward Building at Westerly High School.

The expo, which will include hands-on STEM activities sponsored by teachers, local businesses, community partners and postsecondary institutions, will feature students displaying their work across the district and highlight the Career Pathways offered at the high school.

Participating businesses include General Dynamics Electric Boat, the Westerly Education Center, Ladd Observatory, Mystic Aquarium, Code.org, Smile Club of URI, New England Tech, Northrup Grumman, Hi-Tech Profiles, as well as many others.
