WESTERLY — Westerly Hospital will offer a 90-minute evidence-based QPR Suicide Prevention training on Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the hospital's Henry J. Nardone Conference Center, 25 Wells St.

The session will be facilitated by certified QPR instructor Dr. Robert Harrison. Like CPR, QPR is a simple process anyone can be trained to use to help save the life of someone in crisis – question someone about suicidal thoughts, persuade them to seek help, and refer them for professional assistance.

The training is free and open to anyone. For more information or to register, contact Robert Harrison at 401-316-4134 or by email at robharrison63usna@ gmail.com.
