WESTERLY — Westerly Hospital will offer two 90-minute evidence-based QPR Suicide Prevention training sessions in December. Both sessions will be facilitated by Dr. Robert Harrison. The classes will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the hospital’s Henry J. Nardone Conference Center, 25 Wells St. and on Friday, Dec. 6, from noon to 1:30 p.m., at the Westerly Education Center, 23 Friendship St.

Like CPR, QPR is a simple process anyone can be trained to use to help save the life of someone in crisis; Question someone about suicidal thoughts, Persuade them to seek help and Refer them for professional assistance.

Sessions are free. To register for either session, or for more information, contact Robert Harrison at 401-316-4134 or robharrison63usna@gmail.com.
