WEST WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island authorities are investigating two unconnected stabbings within a day of each other.

West Warwick police says they responded to reports of a double stabbing on Friday and Saturday. Both suspects fled the scene before officials arrived.

WJAR-TV reports officers first responded to a reported double stabbing during a domestic related incident on West Warwick Avenue at 5 p.m. Friday.

A male and female suffered non-life threatening stab wounds to their upper bodies.

Police were then dispatched to Washington Street around 9 p.m. Saturday for a report of an argument breaking out, which led to a man taking out his knife and stabbing two other men.

The victims also suffered non-life threatening wounds to their upper bodies.

Officials say both suspects have been identified, but names have not been released.
