WESTERLY — Washington Trust has announced four promotions in the bank’s senior management team.
Amy U. Arruda, of Pawcatuck, has been named senior vice president, retail banking. She joined Washington Trust in 1997 and was most recently vice president, retail sales.
Arruda received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree from Penn State University.
Kristin L. Battisti, of Mystic, has been named senior vice president, compliance. She is responsible for managing Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money-laundering compliance programs.
Battisti started with the bank in 2010 and has been vice president, compliance, since 2011. She is a UConn graduate and serves as board president of the WARM Center.
Mark A. Smithey, of Charlestown, has been named senior vice president and chief information security officer.
Smithey joined the bank in 1997 and has served as network engineer and director of technology services. Smithey received a bachelor’s degree from the New England Institute of Technology.
Patricia M. Hartford, of Westerly, was promoted to senior vice president and manager of cash management services.
Hartford joined the bank in 1982 and became vice president, cash management, in 2007. She is a Providence College graduate, and has served on the Westerly School Committee.
