Westerly Pawcatuck Veterans Day Parade

The annual Westerly Pawcatuck Veterans Day Parade will step off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, and will form in the Pawcatuck Shopping Center starting at 8:30 a.m. The parade will finish at the Westerly Armory with a ceremony, featuring music and a speaker.

The Westerly Pawcatuck Veterans Board of Control has scheduled the Veterans Day parade for Saturday, Nov. 9, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The parade will form in the Pawcatuck Shopping Center starting at 8:30 a.m.

The parade will proceed to the monument at the junction of Pequot Trail and West Broad Street for a brief ceremony. After the ceremony the parade will proceed on West Broad Street to Westerly, then turn onto High Street and Canal Street to Railroad Avenue, finishing at the Westerly Armory, where there will be a ceremony with music and a speaker.

A light collation will be held immediately after the ceremony.

"We all hope everyone will come out to view the parade as we celebrate the men and women who wore the uniform of the armed forces to defend our freedom," LaPointe said. "Come and show your support to the local heroes."
