Wilcox Park head groundskeeper Paul Panciera works in the park’s greenhouse Monday readying a tomato plant to be sold at the 37th annual Garden Market Fair, set to take place at the park on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Besides the tomatoes, Panciera has been growing hot peppers, sweet peppers, squash, dill, basil, and zucchini for the market. Vendors from Rhode Island and Connecticut will also be on hand selling annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, vegetables, herbs and garden accessories. There will be a large selection of hanging plant arrangements, as well as organic and locally-grown vegetables and herbs. The URI Master Gardeners will be staffing an information kiosk. Harold Hanka, The Westerly Sun
