NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) — The Rhode Island DUI Task Force says dozens of drivers were arrested for alcohol-related offenses over Labor Day weekend.

WPRI-TV reports that 41 individuals were arrested. No fatal crashes were reported.

The task force says there were seven fewer DUI arrests this year than in 2018. Three fatalities were reported, but it was unclear if alcohol was a factor in any of those cases.

This year's figures are up from 2017 with ten arrests reported, with no fatalities.
