QUOTE THE BARD

Have a favorite Shakespeare sonnet? Read it aloud to fellow fans of the Bard Tuesday when the Colonial Theatre of Rhode Island hosts a Shakespeare Celebration at the Westerly Library from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Readers need only familiarize themselves with a sonnet and then come prepared to read beginning at around 5:30 p.m. In addition to the sonnet readings, a birthday cake will be served, activities will organized for children and adults and members of the company, including students from the theater's camps, will present scenes and monologues. QUACK QUACK

Watch as 20,000 rubber ducks are dumped into the Pawcatuck River by volunteers from Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce during the annual Duck Race  Saturday, a benefit for  local charities and schools. Ducks are on sale now for chances to win more than 90 prizes. Children’s games, food booths and other activities make this a wonderful family event. FORAGE AWAY

Feast in style at the Westerly Land Trust's fifth annual Foraged of the Earth Dinner fundraiser Sunday featuring courses crafted by chef Chris Champagne, who who will highlight edibles foraged from the wild including local shellfish, venison, mushrooms and greens. Courses are complemented with wine and beer pairings. Forager Keith Cowley will provide insight about the sourcing of ingredients and earth’s spring bounty. Seats are $50 per person, or $500 for a table of 8. GO WILD

Enjoy a feast celebrating the wild on Friday when writer, cook, kitchen gardener and New York City forager Marie Viljoen heads to Stone Acres Farm to co-host a dinner inspired by her book "Forage, Harvest, Feast." Oyster Club chef James Wayman, an avid forager who studies wild plants and edibles with a passion, will join Viljoen. SALT MARSH

JUSTICE LEAGUE

Join Margy Long and members of the League of Women Voters South County at Fresh Cup Café, 9 East Ave. in Westerly, at 10 a.m. Friday for a "meet and learn" to share information about voter registration drives, candidate forums during election years and other league activities.

Explore wood-fire cooking, sample locally sourced foods and sample beers paired to match the meals at a Craft Beer Dinner on Thursday at Weekapaug Inn, part of the inn’s popular Brewmaster’s Social series.
