Enjoy poetry out loud twice this week. Join two longtime friends Duke Robillard and Linda Peduzzi for two special nights filled with art. On Wednesday, the two will pair up for the opening reception of their joint art show, “Paintings by Master Blues Musician, Duke Robillard and Pawcatuck Artist Linda Peduzzi,” from 5-7:30 p.m, and on Thursday, the Duke Robillard Band will perform a free concert in the library auditorium from 6-8 p.m. Learn more at


Hear the stories behind the colorful murals of Westerly Wednesday when The Westerly College Club hosts a free presentation by Zachary Garceau called “Stories Behind the Murals.” The talk takes place at 1 p.m. at St. Clare Church, 4 Saint Clare Way, Westerly.


Share your memories of Pawcatuck’s old Field Street School, and enjoy the artwork at “Pawcatuck Remembers: 80 Years at the 40 Field Street School” a student-developed art exhibition and book project featuring snapshots and stories about the school this weekend at one of two opening receptions; Friday, 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m. at the La Grua Center, 32 Water St. in Stonington. Watch Emmy-nominated actor Frank Runyeon share his take on the Sermon on the Mount Saturday during a program at 7 p.m. at Christ Church, 7 Elm St. in Westerly. Tickets are $20 per family or $10 each and available at the Christ Church office. Financial assistance is available for students.
