STONINGTON — A Pawcatuck man charged with first-degree criminal mischief is accused of breaking windows at the Wequetequock Fire Department on the night of Oct. 30.

The Stonington police said that the man, Kurt D. Riley, 25, was arrested on a warrant at about 3 a.m. Tuesday as he was parked in a lot off North Main Street. He was held by the police overnight and was expected to be arraigned later in the day in New London Superior Court.

The police said Riley was videotaped by a security camera at the firehouse, 6 Farmholme Road. The police said he drove to the station after hours and proceeded to break each of the five bay windows before leaving. The motivation for the vandalism was not clear in the police report.
