On Thanksgiving day, Christ (Episcopal) Church, Westerly, held a Thanksgiving turkey dinner for any person who came to share, partake, and enjoy together giving thanks to God for his bounty. The meal was very good, well prepared and plentiful. Many attended and piano music filled the dining hall. This was the first Thanksgiving day and dinner I attended without my 17 family members who had gathered in Vermont, New York, and Pennsylvania. (I was invited but was unable to travel). I am a widow living alone and not able to accommodate a large group. I sincerely thank the pastor, deacon, and parishioners of this church who prepared and served this good food to us all. It made our holiday as special and grateful. God is good!
