WESTERLY — The Westerly Education Center will host three training sessions on strategies to prevent, mitigate and manage opioid use, appropriate for mental health professionals and paraprofessionals who interact frequently with at-risk populations. The instructor for the courses will be Pamela Messore. All sessions will be held at Westerly Education Center, 23 Friendship St., Westerly.

The first program, "Behavioral Health: Substance Use and Mental Health," will be held Oct. 31 and Nov. 4 and 18. "Frameworks for Professional Practice" will be offered Nov. 21 and 25. and Dec. 2. The final session, "Strategies: Professional Practice & Treatment," will be held on Dec. 5, 9 and 19. The four-hour sessions are available at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 4 to 8 p.m.
