WEST KINGSTON — The Washington County Fair Queen and Princess Contest will be held the weekend before the fair at the Richmond Grange Hall, 680 Usquepaugh Road. Rehearsal will take place Saturday, Aug. 10, at 3 p.m. and judging will take place Sunday, Aug. 11, at 3 p.m. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, Aug. 14, the first night of the fair, on the main stage at Washington County Fairgrounds, Route 112, Richmond.

Applicants must be a resident of Washington County, a member of a Rhode Island Grange, or a member of a Rhode Island 4 H or FFA Chapter. The Princess Contest is for girls 14 to 16 years of age. The Queen Contest is for young women 17 to 21 years of age.
