Second Baptist Church of North Stonington
NORTH STONINGTON — Second Baptist Church of North Stonington, 12 Stillman Road, is an independent, conservative, evangelical Baptist church. It is a Bible-based church with practical preaching and teaching for all ages.

PAWCATUCK — An in-person worship service will be held on Sunday, at 9:45 a.m., in the church sanctuary. This week starts the Advent/Christmastide season. Rev. Ruth will discuss the Hanging of the Greens and reflect around the Prophets and how God may be asking us to do something.

A Christmas Mini-Pop-up Bazaar will be held at the church on Saturday, Nov. 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering items inside and outside. Masks required of all guests and workers.

WESTERLY — An in-person worship service will be held on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Guest speaker Rev. Rev. Kathryn Palen’s sermon will be "The Now and the New." The scripture will be from Jeremiah 33:14-16.

Congregational Church of North Stonington
NORTH STONINGTON — The Congregational Church of North Stonington will offer in-person worship on Sunday at 10 a.m. in Hewitt Hall. The CDC is now advising all of New London County to wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status.
Rev. Susan G. Latourette will lead worship with a sermon “Signs of the Times” and scripture lessons Jeremiah 33:14-16 and Luke 21:25-36.

The Jammie Grammie collection runs through Nov. 28. Donations of new pajamas, babies and toddlers to size 16, are requested.

The annual Festival of Lessons and Carols for Advent will be held on Sunday, Nov. 28, at 5 p.m. The service will feature choral music by the Choir of Christ Church, congregational singing of carols and hymns, and the reading of the lessons in anticipation of the birth of the Christ child. The lessons, read by parish members and lay leaders from the community, recount the ancient prophecies and the joy of Christ coming into the world. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and childcare is provided in the nursery. A reception in the Parish Hall follows the service.
